Privacy Policy

Numizmat is a coin-collecting app for iPhone. This policy covers the app and this website. Questions go to support@numizmat.cc.

The short version

There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. No data is sold or shared. The developer receives no personal data from the app. This matches the app’s App Store privacy label, “Data Not Collected”.

Your collection

What you record in Numizmat (the coins you own, grades, notes, prices, photographs, the sets you follow and your achievements) is stored on your iPhone. If iCloud is on, it is also stored in your own private iCloud database through Apple’s CloudKit, so it can reach your other devices. The developer cannot read that database. Apple’s privacy policy governs iCloud.

Photographs

You can add photographs of your coins with the camera, which is the only permission the app asks for, or with the system photo picker, which gives the app only the photos you choose. Metadata, including GPS location, is removed from every photograph before it is stored.

Network requests

The app makes three kinds of request. None of them carries anything about your collection.

1. To Apple’s servers, to download catalogues and coin photographs (Apple’s Background Assets).
2. To api.gold-api.com, for gold and silver spot prices.
3. To open.er-api.com, for currency exchange rates.

Like any web request, these reveal your IP address to the server that answers them. Their own privacy policies apply.

Purchases

Purchases of Numizmat Pro are processed entirely by Apple. The app learns only whether Pro is active.

Email

If you write to support, your message is used only to answer you.

Deleting your data

Delete the app to remove everything stored on your iPhone. To remove the iCloud copy, open the Settings app, tap your name, then iCloud → Manage Storage → Numizmat. If you want to keep a record, export your collection as a CSV file in the app’s Settings first.

Children

Numizmat is not directed at children, and it collects nothing from anyone.

This website

This website uses no cookies and no analytics, and loads nothing from other sites. It is hosted by Vercel, whose servers keep standard logs of requests, including IP addresses, as any web server does. We do not use those logs to identify or follow anyone.

Your rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA)

Because neither the app nor this website collects personal data, there is nothing on our side to access, correct, export or delete, and nothing is sold or shared. If you have a question about your data, write to support@numizmat.cc and you will get an answer.

Changes

Changes to this policy are posted on this page with a new effective date.
